Mental Addition: Why is it important?

What does a child learn first after numbers? It is to add them. Addition is the basic yet one of the important skills that is required both for Maths & Life. And as we grow up, the required to add numbers mentally increases day by day. This is one of the major reasons why parents search courses related to Addition for Primary classes, Abacus for Class 3, Class 2, Class 4 etc. But many a times students get confused with techniques learnt here and in school and get frustrated. So, a course that can teach children to add numbers superfast and superaccurately without burdening them with the extra confusion would be a boon to them. And that is what Mental Addition Course does. It teaches students to not only add numbers mentally but also to innovate their own techniques when required. This course will not only help students in their school maths but also provide a strong base for Arithmetic, Data handling and other Math concepts that they would learn.

Frequently asked questions

Any primary school student (6-11 years) or his/her parent can take this course to learn the amazing concepts, tricks, techniques of Mental Addition.
This course is a unique course designed to cater to the needs and learning process of the age group 6-11 years. There has been a lot of research that has gone in determining the right ways so that engaging and effecting content is developed. This course has also incorporated the best of Vedic Maths, modern scientific techniques, other calculation techniques and suggestions given by different psychometric and academic researches related to Maths and learning behavior. Added to this is the unique style and the vast experience of our mentor Swarnali Saha Mam. All of these together along with our philosophy of “Learn to Think and Practice to Master” has resulted in MAC- A course that is the need of every primary school student but is never taught anywhere.
This course is targeted towards creating a strong base of Maths in children of age group of 6-1 years. The base of Maths and more specifically Arithmetic is Calculation. One who plays well with numbers is automatically good at Arithmetic. And what is the starting point of calculation? It’s ADDITION. So being good at Addition is the first step towards mastering Arithmetic. Hence we have designed Mental Arithmetic Course (MAC)- Addition, which focuses on building a strong foundation and confidence in kids before moving on to other aspects of calculation.
You can go for our Master Calculation Course. It will cover all aspects of Calculation. To know more about the course kindly refer to Master Calculation Course
The conceptual part of the program has been designed such that if a student gives 30-40 mins every day, he/she would be a Master Calculator in just 30 days. But we understand that students would need flexibility of pacing the course according to their convenience and they would also need time for revision. Hence validity of full 1 Year is being given. A student can go through the course multiple times in this 1 Year.
Education research shows that learning quotient in lifetime validity courses is extremely poor. Reputed educators across the world have found limited time courses much more effective than lifetime courses. As a matter of fact, as the course validity is lifetime, most students forget to complete the course. Rather, well organised, and structured course is what works best. Hence, Welcome2Maths creates such well structured courses where students can follow a day wise routine and Master a skill in a limited time.
You can watch the videos unlimited number of times. There is no limitation.
Students get practice material and Quiz after every Concept lecture. The in-course practice material consists of more than 700questions. Not only that, after every module, a student would need to take a Module Test to evaluate his/her learning. After the completion of course, as student will also get an E-Book consisting of another 1000 questions to practice at home. So, there would be a lot of practice for the student.
The Module revision Tests, Pre-Course Test and the Final Test can be taken a maximum of 10 times. This limitation is there so that a student takes the test seriously and still gets adequate number of re-tries.
The medium of instruction of the course would be English.
NO-Absolutely NOT! The course is intended for only one student. Sharing your course credentials with others would lead to blocking of your course.
